GRAD TRANSITIONS
At Chilliwack Secondary School, all graduating students are required to complete the Graduation Transitions 12(GT). It is the final course of the Graduation Program. GT requirements will be met though the completion of their my Blueprint portfolio. Students need to be complete their portfolio and email Mrs. Bernard to let her know it is complete before January 19, 2018.

GRAD BANQUET & DANCE

Date: June 27th, 2018
Time: 4:30pm 
Cost: $100 (subject to change)
Theme: TBA
Location: Prospera Centre
Students should arrive by 430pm. The group photo is at 5pm, check-in is at 5:30pm, and the program starts at 6pm. (Subject to change)
Guest Passes: 
Applications for the Dinner/Dance will need to be approved by Administration, and it is not guaranteed that applications will be approved.  As the Grad Banquet and Dance is the culminating social event of the grade 12 year, school administration has a responsibility to ensure that all guests in attendance will conduct themselves appropriately, be respectful to all other graduates and guests, and comply with requests/follow direction from school staff. 
Please note:
  • All guests must be a secondary student (grades 10-12) from the Chilliwack School District. 
  • All guests will be required to have a character reference from an SD#33 school principal or vice-principal. 
  • For all grad functions outside of the City of Chilliwack, transportation will be provided by the School District, and it is expected that the guest will use the provided transportation.
Any grad bringing a guest to the Banquet or Dry Grad that is NOT in grade 12 at Chilliwack Secondary School will require an approved guest pass. You can find guest passes near the student phone by the office or click HERE to print one. Submit your pass to the office for approval, once approved you will receive instructions on how to purchase your guest ticket.
 

DRY GRAD

Date: June 27th, 2018
Time: 11:00pm until 5:00am the next morning (no entry after 1:30am)
Cost: TBA (tickets can be purchased online or in the office)
Location: Leisure Landing Sports Center (formally the Ag Rec building)
Once the Banquet and Dance is over the night is just beginning!  There are plenty of fun things to do including casino games, character artists, games, bands, food and drinks.  Grads should wear comfortable clothing and shoes as this is an activity packed event.  Tickets will be available at the main window at the school office.
*PLEASE NOTE:  This is an event that is free of drugs and alcohol.  Students that come to this event under the influence or in possession of drug or alcohol will not be admitted.  There will be no refunds.  All school rules apply.  There are NO in and out privileges...once you leave you will not be allowed back in! There is also no coat/bag check. Please leave your bags at home or in your car!!

ONLINE GRAD PLANNER
The Grad Planner is a Ministry-produced document prepared for students entering the Graduation Program. The document outlines graduation requirements, means of getting graduation credit, and provides information about Graduation Program exams as well as funding post-secondary education. The Grad Planner also contains numerous links to websites with helpful information, and for the first time this year includes an appendix of top jobs in demand.
English and French versions of the 2015-2016 Grad Planner are now available on the Ministry Graduation website.

COURSE CHARGE FOR GRADUATED ADULTS 
In keeping with Ministry of Education, a $350.00 fee applies to all Graduated Adults taking courses from a Secondary School or Distance Learning facility in School District No. 33 Chilliwack

PSI Form: The completion of this form will allow you to send your final secondary school grades directly to the university of your choice.This option is only available in online format.
To access the "Post-Secondary Selection Form" to tell the Ministry of Education that you'd like to have your grades sent, log in here. You will need your PEN, which can be found on your report card.
Once you login you should see "Welcome to the Student Secure Web". Click ENTER. You will be prompted to login or create a new account if you don't already have one. Follow the instructions carefully to submit your choice of Post-Secondary Institutions.
All Grade 12 students received a grad handbook in their summer mail out with more detailed information regarding graduation! Please contact the office for more information!
